PhD student members have to acquire 14 ECTS points of which a minimum of 7 ECTS points should be from our courses and one summer school. This means that a PhD student member follows at least two courses and one summer school with us. Other ECTS points can be acquired by following other courses (often methodological courses on measurement and data analysis or soft-skill courses such as presentation skills).
Overview of ECTS points that are awarded to courses:
- CLM courses: 2 ECTS per course
- CLM summer school: 3 ECTS per summer school
- External courses: A maximum of 2 ECTS per external course. This depends on the study load of this course. When you plan to follow an external course please contact the doctoral program coordinator for information about whether and how many ECTS credits will be awarded.
- Conference presentations: One ECTS per presentation. Note that students can receive maximum 2 ECTS credit points for conference presentations. The other ECTS points that are required for successful doctoral program completion should be acquired through course completion.
